About the Role
As a Work Coach, you’ll work directly with people to help them move towards financial independence through employment. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same – you’ll be supporting individuals with different needs, goals, and challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting customers with job searching and career progression
- Providing tailored advice and guidance
- Building positive, motivating relationships
- Helping individuals navigate digital job search tools
- Managing a caseload and making informed decisions
- Working with customers both face-to-face, digitally, and over the phone
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to explain complex information clearly
- A supportive and empathetic approach
- Confidence using digital systems
- Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations
- A proactive and organised mindset
Key Details
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Working pattern: Between 7:45am – 8:00pm (Mon–Fri) and 8:45am – 5:00pm (Sat)
- Contract: 18 months
- Flexible working options available (subject to business needs)
Eligibility
This role is part of the Going Forward into Employment (GFiE) scheme and is open to:
- Care leavers (minimum 13 weeks in care, including after age 16)
- Aged 18+
- Engaged with a supporting organisation who can refer you
