After 3 successful years, our Breakthrough programme is almost complete. With just the graduation left to go, we were delighted to organise a special residential with Brathay, up in the beautiful Lake District for our care-experienced young people.

Breakthrough was designed to give care-experienced young people aged 15-18 a voice as they approached the transition into becoming care leavers. By offering group events, career insight sessions as well as bespoke one-on-one support, the young people have been learning important employability skills but also gaining the confidence to believe in their own potential.

Another First

One Last Time

By bringing the group away one last time, it allowed for them to connect to each other in a deep and meaningful way. The residential provided the perfect setting to truly solidify a peer network where our young people felt comfortable to talk to each other about their past experiences and future dreams.

Amazing Activities

Between scrambling, climbing, boating and more, the residential had something for everyone and pushed our young people to embrace their strength and learn some new ones!

Short but Powerful

Despite the residential only being a short trip, it was clear from the smiles and pictures that our young people will remember this experience for a long time!
